Help Beattie be back in the Fall!
Beattie-Powers Place is a truly unique institution. Located on the banks of the Hudson River with unsurpassed views, the public park was bequeathed by Mary Deane Beattie in perpetuity for all residents and visitors to Catskill. However, it's The Friends of Beattie-Powers, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, that raises funds to maintain the park and historic house and provide an array of programs to the public for low/no cost.
We're in the middle of a campaign to raise funds for our heating system, which is in critical need of repair. Here's an image of the work we need to address:
We're calling on our community of friends to support us by donating today! Click here to share your support. We need your help to get our heating system ready for the Fall and Winter. If you're reading this and have donated already, thank you! If you haven’t, please consider contributing some needed funds to ensure that our events will continue.
We are planning multiple events outlined below. Dates to be determined.
~Bard Conservatory Concerts with Chamber Music and the Vocal Arts Program
~Concerts of String Quartets by Dissident Russian Composers
~Master Class Weekends with Pianist Sébastien Cornut, Planet Arts Jazz Musicians and Jazz Saxophonist Jérôme Sabbagh.
~Talks on Living With Gardens, Parks, Beekeeping and Trees
~John Thorn On Major League Baseball
We can’t offer programming like this in a freezing house with broken pipes - a reality that makes your support today critical! Thank you for your help in supporting the offerings that we have become known for.
